Getting Started

Step 1: Determine Your Child's Needs

Visit the 'What is Occupational Therapy (OT)' and/or 'What is Speech Therapy (ST)' pages on our website to help identify your concerns and your child's needs.

Step 2: Obtain a Referral from Your Doctor

Discuss your concerns with your doctor and request a referral for an occupational therapy and/or speech evaluation at Playhaus Pediatric Therapy.

Your provider may fax referrals to (210) 571-1704 or give you a hard copy to bring in.

If you need more specific guidance, call us for a phone screening.

Step 3: Verifying Insurance Benefits

Our staff will collect your insurance information and verify your benefits. If your insurance plan is not listed, we can discuss other options such as private pay, superbills, or HSA.

Step 4: Intake Forms

We will email your child's intake forms. Please complete them before your appointment to help maximize the therapist's time with you and your child.

Step 5: Scheduling Your Child's Initial Evaluation

Once we have received the referral from your pediatrician and your insurance has been verified, it’s time to schedule your child's initial evaluation!
